A few years ago, I bought some pretty alpaca yarn and wanted to make a scarf with multiple colors. Great, but I didn’t want to do a typical standard stripe. So I hunted around some stitch books and came across a really interesting stitch that could adapt well to changing colors and that is what later became the Faux Dotty Scarf.

It was a big hit with Craftster and I kept seeing people posting about it on various blogs – which was really flattering. I don’t think it is solely the stitch, but the combination of that with the colorway that makes this stand out.

Well you can make your own too! Below is the original post on Craftster as well as the Ravelry link that has a free download available.
