In the meantime, I have been thinking up projects and made these mitten-glove things as an adaptation of a vintage pattern for fair-isle mittens.
I made this about a month ago but couldn’t post it till now because it is a gift for some friends that are having a baby. I really loved having it around and am sure they will enjoy it just as much.
It is a monkey made with alpaca with embroidered accents. It is a pattern I adapted from a vintage pattern and I love the results. Yay monkey!

This is a vintage row counter I got a while back on ebay. It is from the UK and is a pretty clever little thing.

I found this dusty German knitting magazine from the late 70s. I would have bought it but I knew if I did I would be google translating all the patterns and would likely get distracted from other projects I should be finishing.
Anyways, I took a picture of one of the sock spreads. I love the ones in the middle and on the right. Hopefully it is a nice little bit of inspiration for you.
