Here are some cute ruffle socks I made. They are made with lace weight yarn and knit from the top down. The ruffle pattern in knit in reverse so the pattern appears when you fold the cuff down. You can buy the knitting pattern over at Ravelry.

Ahh see I forgot to share this when I finished it *last year*.  Again, that was mostly due to my slooooooow computer that really couldn’t handle much.  Anyways, last fall, I knitted this cabled situation, and the pattern came from Rowan.  Let’s not talk about how I basically had to rewrite the pattern because the charts were halfway helpful, but that is how it goes, yes?

Hello!  Sorry, it has been a while yet again.  My computer was dying and made it completely impossible to browse on the internet much less upload photos and post things.  Que sera sera…

In the meantime, I have been thinking up projects and made these mitten-glove things as an adaptation of a vintage pattern for fair-isle mittens.

Hello! It has been a while, hasn’t it? Funny how when the weather cools down the knitting needles (and ideas) go into overtime. I finally finished my first official project of the season, Rowan Magazine’s Wayfarer.

If you aren’t familiar with this pattern, it can be found in issue 48 of the magazine. It is basically two loops that are linked together and create a sort of non-traditional sweater. After the jump, the magazine photo and a few others of mine.

I so did. Prada had these amazing headbands on their models for the F/W 2011 show (which I previously fawned over). In case you forgot, this is what they looked like:

Mine looks like this:

I have had this vision of a short, balloon-y skirt for the past few months and I really just want to get it out of my head and into a physical object. I found some yarn and then some more yarn and now that I have the colors down, I have to figure out how to make the skirt look just exactly how I want it. Here is the yarn:

Time to get to work! After that, I believe I will start on a top… or maybe a dress? So much to make, so little time!

Since it is getting warmer, it is harder to motivate to knit. Something about the heat…

I have been dreaming of fall and lovely things to knit. I am busy *thinking* of my next project. I think it will be some sort of clothing. Perhaps a skirt… Well at least that will be a start.

In the meantime, I have been making pillows. Here is one of my latest in purple and pinks. They are fairly quick to make, and you know, I might just start another one…

I made this about a month ago but couldn’t post it till now because it is a gift for some friends that are having a baby. I really loved having it around and am sure they will enjoy it just as much.

It is a monkey made with alpaca with embroidered accents. It is a pattern I adapted from a vintage pattern and I love the results. Yay monkey!

Since my first encounter with knit slippers a few months ago, I have had them in the back of my mind.

The pattern I made the slippers from was good, but it was essentially a rectangle that needed to be seamed to fit a foot. I knew there was a better way, so the other day while watching TV I whipped up a pair of these cute ballet house flats.

These have a turned heel and the only seaming that takes place is the kitchener stitch at the front. The best part? They take no time at all!

This is a bunny I knit back in 2005 (wow that seems like such a long time ago!) and I have been trying to find where I got the pattern from so I could share it. After a bit of research I was able to find it.
